You can find stores (offline and online) that stock nearly all the supplies you need to throw a wonderful theme party. check out the post right here You can find theme-based supplies that range from invitation cards right through to party favours. However, if you do not have a list of the items you really need, it is all too easy to buy more than you have budgeted for. The following is a simple list of the supplies needed for a kids birthday party:
1. Invitation and Thank you notes:
These are the basic supplies you need for a kids theme party simply because without these, no one will be informed about the party and there is no way that you can thank the guests after the party. There are many ready made invitation cards and thank you notes that can match almost any theme you have in mind. These card sets also come in different sizes, colors, shapes, designs, and volume depending on your need and the number of guests you will be inviting.
However, it is just as easy to make your own by using different coloured and textured papers or almost anything that will suit the theme of the party. If you have a colour printer and a card program or other graphic programs, you can design your own cards and envelopes. In this way it is much easier to personalise the invitations than just buying theme-based cards.
2. Decorations for the party venue:
If you are planning to have the party at your own home, you are in charge of decorating the place. Decorations will depend on the theme of the party. But, no matter what the theme is, make sure that the decorations are colorful and lively since this is a child’s birthday party.
To add more zest to the party, include banners, centerpieces, hats, blowers, and if appropriate, candles that match the theme. You can also make streamers that could welcome the guests to the party. Balloons come in many colors, shapes, and sizes and should be the number one item on your party supply list.
If you are going to rent a venue, you can ask the owner to take charge of the decorations and if they are willing to do it, you can even give specific instructions so the decoration of the venue will fit the theme.
3. Party ware to be used during the party:
If you are giving the party at home, it is best to choose party ware such as plates, utensils, glasses and even napkins to suit the theme. Consider adding plain coloured supplies to mix and match the items with the theme-based items. You can even just buy plain white paper plates and cups and with a little imagination, paper cutouts and other odds and ends, you can turn them into unique table decorations that will still fit in with the rest of the other theme based party supplies.
4. Party favours to be given away:
It has been a tradition for many years to give favours to those who have attended a party. Giving party favours is one of the ways of thanking the guests for taking the time off and celebrating with you. Party favours will normally depend on the theme of the party. Party favour bags may contain candy and chocolates, as well as small toys and other treats that kids usually enjoy. Another idea is to let the party guests make their own party favours as part of the party activities.
5. Optional supplies:
Pinatas are quite popular and you will be able to find a wide range of theme-based pinatas in party supply stores. It is just as easy to make your own pinata with a balloon, newspaper strips and papier maché paste. If your child’s party will include craft activities, you should also decide upon the crafts they will do and ensure that you have enough supplies for all the party guests.
If you start planning your child’s birthday party well in advance (at least six to four weeks before the actual party), and buy all the necessary supplies needed to make the party a success, you will definitely be able to relax on the day of the party and enjoy the fun and excitement together with your child and the party guests.
